The "excellent Griffin" as the Sunday Telegraph Travel Section
described us is a small guest house with 9 rooms in the heart of the gay
village. It is between St. James St (the gay Hgh Street) and the sea front.
Lodged in a charming Regency building dating from the late 18th century,
The Griffin was entirely rebuilt and refitted in the spring of 2005. All
rooms now have en suite facilities, and all are furnshed with fine antique
furniture.
Room 4, The Chinese Room, has a balcony, jacuzzi and very high ceiling. It
is also possble to hire a sling for this room. On the wall are two hand-painted
silk panels copied from the Music Room of the neighbouring Royal Pavilion.
We are offering any of our customers who stay in this room for at least
2 nights and who are in Brighton to celebrate their civil partnership, a
special price to include a complimentary bottle of champagne.
